Australian GP Alliance members are well presented in the 2020 RACGP Awards with three of the current Board winning their state categories and now contesting the national title, demonstrating the value of Principal Led General Practice.

The AGPA state winners are:

General Practice of the Year 

NSW & ACT: YourGP@Crace, Dr John Deery, AGPA Chair

Victoria: Altona North Medical Centre, Dr Mukesh Haikerwal, AGPA Director.

GP of the Year:

Victoria: Dr Bernard Shiu, Banksia Medical Centre, AGPA Director

The RACGP states Every RACGP Awards finalist is an inspirational doctor and a central member of their community.

The Australian GP Alliance believes that the best primary health care is delivered by doctors working in Principal Led General Practices. These results demonstrate that their GP peers consider that these Practice Principals are indeed exceptional and inspirational. 

The national winners in each category will be announced on Friday 20 November at GP20.
